A Holistic Model of Supervision
A holistic approach to clinical supervision and therapy presupposes that the supervisor, supervisee, and client be held with an understanding of an intellectual, emotional, social, physical, artistic, creative, cultural, spiritual, and ecological awareness, as well as their spiritual experiences, intelligence, and capabilities. This includes the interconnectedness of the aforementioned.
(Pargament, 2007; AMHA, 2008).
Practitioners can expect to be supported by Michal in varying ways, including the following:
1.Becoming more embodied and self-reflective as a practitioner, ie, you can only take others where you have gone yourself.
2.Connecting with and understanding your inner resources and strengths as a practitioner
3.Good practice management, issues relating with transference and countertransference, dealing with difficult issues in the therapeutic space, when the professional becomes personal-(shadow work), developing and maintaining self-care
4. Cultivating, acknowledging, and appreciating the multiple and intersecting identities of each client, and welcoming every aspect of their identity into the space whilst acknowledging appropriate boundaries
5. Exploring varying ways of supporting clients to connect with their innate wisdom
